ATSE President Role

Nominations Committee Update

ATSE Nominations Committee President Search

The Nominations Committee is now opening the call for nominations for ATSE's next President, with a term to commence from 1 January 2023.

All Fellows are invited to identify candidates

If you are interested in nominating for President, if you would like to discuss a potential nominee, or if you would like any more information, please contact the Nominations Committee via Chair Paul Wood or Company Secretary Tracy Watson. The Committee will consider all nominations in conjunction with its search process to identify candidates for election by the Fellowship.

Submit your nominations and questions

The Committee acknowledges that many new Fellows have joined the Academy since the last Presidential selection process was held. Fellows are invited to submit questions to the Committee via email to the Company Secretary — tracy.watson@atse.org.au.

Next steps

The Position Description and further information will soon be circulated to all Fellows by email, and posted on the Fellows' portal. Fellows will be invited to vote in an election mid-year following the final identification of candidates.

Diversity and Inclusion

ATSE strives to be a leader in diversity and inclusion. We are committed to supporting excellence in applied science, technology, and engineering and we recognise that to achieve this we must celebrate and embrace diversity and inclusion in all its forms. We encourage all our Fellows to nominate diverse candidates. We particularly encourage trailblazers from under-represented groups in STEM, such as women, Indigenous Australians, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to be nominated as President-elect.

Nominations are now open — Closing Monday 16 May
